I truly believe that some, if not all, retail stores should look to Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi" for inspiration when formulating their customer relations' strategy. Having worked in the retail business for years, I know that customers nowadays can be really inconsiderate. I've often found myself standing behind the register, thinking, "I wonder what they'd do right now if I screamed 'NO SHIRT FOR YOU' and snatched their bag back?".I think today's society needs a lesson in manners and humility. Maybe that will be my great contribution; I'll open a store where people have to walk on eggshells in order to purchase what I'm selling. I'm not even kidding. Customer flags down an employee for a fitting room: BANNED. Customer interrupts employees chatting amongst each other: BANNED. Customer is "just browsing": BANNED.
Like the Soup Nazi, to incivility, I'd say, "COME BACK, ONE YEAR!"
